Y'all ready for some delicious pasta recipes?! I found these two recipes that I just had to share with y'all. They both use Italian sausage, mushrooms, and asparagus to create a mouth-watering dish that's perfect for a weeknight dinner.
Easy Weeknight Pasta with Mushrooms, Asparagus & Italian Sausage
First up, we have this super easy pasta recipe that can be made in under 30 minutes. It's perfect for those nights when you don't feel like spending a lot of time in the kitchen. The recipe comes from The Oven Light, and it's definitely a winner.
Ingredients:
- 1 pound penne pasta
- 1/2 pound Italian sausage
- 1/2 cup sliced mushrooms
- 1/2 cup diced onion
- 1 pound asparagus, trimmed and cut into 1-inch pieces
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
- Cook pasta in a large pot of salted water according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Meanwhile, in a large skillet, cook sausage over medium-high heat until browned and cooked through, about 8 minutes. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- Add mushrooms and onion to the same skillet and cook until softened, about 5 minutes. Add asparagus and cook until tender, about 5 minutes more.
- Pour chicken broth into the skillet and bring to a simmer. Add cream and Parmesan cheese, then stir until the cheese melts and the sauce thickens slightly, about 3 minutes.
- Add cooked pasta and cooked sausage to the skillet and stir to combine. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Spicy Sausage Asparagus Pasta
If you're looking for something with a bit more kick, then this next recipe is for you. It's called Spicy Sausage Asparagus Pasta and it's from Kettler Cuisine. It has all the same ingredients as the previous recipe, plus a few extra spices to give it that extra kick.
Ingredients:

- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1/2 cup sliced mushrooms
